Hello Everyone,
One of our favorite annual meetings is ISCAP. At this meeting there are numerous papers and discussions about IS pedagogy, where we learn a lot. In 2024, I started holding an interactive panel discussion entitled “New and Forthcoming Changes in IS Education: Let’s Talk!”
I held a similar panel last fall at the 2025 meeting. The discussion was supposed to focus on changes other than AI, which was being discussed in half the other sessions at the meeting. As could have been expected, we ended up talking and talking about AI. The consensus was NOT that we need an AI class, but that AI has come to suffuse the curriculum and needs to be discussed often and in the context of most classes.
Our list is evolving to meet that need.
On a personal note, Andy and I are now grandparents. Imogen Ellis Golub was born December 19, 2025. Our son Milo, daughter-in-law Julia, and she are all healthy.
Several textbooks have been revised to consider AI.
