Here is the introduction to Prospect Press's first newsletter from President Beth Golub. We provide it here as a resource. It includes information on how to sign up for the newsletter and manage email preferences, as well as introducing our new blog and offering thanks to the company and to IS educators.

Dear Professor,

Welcome to Prospect Press’s first newsletter. Prospect Press is entering our fifth year of operation. We are continually advancing our efforts to better serve those teaching the Information Systems curriculum. To this end, we continue to sign and help authors develop text offerings that advance the pedagogy and serve emergent, upper level, elective, innovative, and introductory IS courses.

We plan to produce this newsletter twice per year. It provides a summary of our current offerings and information about activities at Prospect Press. The primary target audiences are IS Department Chairs, curriculum coordinators, and anyone seeking timely updates on IS curriculum offerings. See below for our upcoming conference schedule, list of titles, and latest blogs.

Many of you have already signed up for this newsletter. Thank you! Others have been sent this first newsletter as a sample. If you are not signed up for the newsletter and would like to receive future issues, please click below or sign up on the footer of our website. You will not receive future newsletters if you do not sign up.

You can now set your email subscription preferences to receive the information you need, when you need it. To limit the type of emails you receive from Prospect Press, click on “update your email preferences” in the footer of this newsletter or any other email from us. This will take you to our new subscription preferences page. Here you can specify which types of emails you wish to receive or not receive.

We send four types of emails: individual book reminders, new book announcements, newsletters, and blogs. Individual book reminders include suggestions of Prospect Press books you might consider for upcoming terms, as well as reminders about review copies that you requested. We are able to customize email services even further on request. For example, if you wish to receive reminders about some books but not others, please send an email to Customer Support with the specifics.

Thank you! I have been delighted to see Prospect Press grow and improve our service to the IS community. I especially want to thank my husband Andy for his contributions to making Prospect Press a reality, and our staff for advancing the company greatly. On behalf of Prospect Press, I want to thank you for your service as an educator, helping students develop relevant skills, build satisfying careers, better serve the industry, and better contribute to society.

My best wishes to you.

--Beth
